Media Sensitization and Training Workshop

Having identified the Media as central to the advocacy work, GCF engage media practitioners in a sensitisation and training workshop to boost the capacity of cultural reporters to improve the general reportage and journalism of cultural issues within the Ghanaian media landscape. On 17th October 2019, the workshop was held at the W. E. B. Dubois Memorial Centre for Pan-African Culture in Accra. It brought together about 75 media practitioners from over 20 selected media institutions within the country. The training was led by Professor Kwame Karikari (Communication and Journalism Professor), Akunu Dake (Cultural Administrator) and Nana Otuo Owoahene Acheampong (Public Servant and former GCF General Secretary).
