In 2015, GCF was heavily involved in the processes leading to Ghana’s ratification of the UNESCO Conventions including the ones for Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) and the Protection and Promotion of Diversity of Cultural Expression. With facilitation by the UNESCO Office in Accra, GCF held capacity enhancement and advocacy meetings with Members of Parliament and other stakeholders under the framework of the UN Joint Programme for Enhanced Collaboration with the Ghana Parliament.
